Our Winter program takes on a new look as we adhere to current COVID-19 guidelines. Please be assured we will take all necessary precautions available to us so we may keep you safe to enjoy your day out.

Destinations have been chosen where flexibility is available and may be subject to change or improved where possible as we receive updated advice from the NSW Government.

SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

  • Day trips may be shorter or we will not be going as far You can Bring Your Own Lunch
  • Lunch can be purchased from a takeaway or café and eaten in a park
  • If clubs and other eateries are open then this provides us another choice
  • Closer to the date lunch venues may be booked
  • Some flexibility is required to have a great day out

NUMBERS ON BUSES:

Social Distancing Requirements mean larger buses are limited to carrying fewer people to keep you safe.

AREAS AND DAYS OF TRAVEL

  • Penrith and Blue Mountains have been divided into areas, Blacktown areas remains the same
  • This is designed so you may choose 1 of the 2 days on offer per week for your area
  • The destination is the same for the whole week

Over the coming week or so, Great Community Transport will be calling all our clients to check that they are ok, to find out whether they have local support, and to see how we can assist.

If you are ringing to enquire about services, please be aware we have minimal staff in the office so please leave a message and someone will return your call.

We have reduced the number of people working in our office as a way to keep everybody as healthy as possible. We continue to keep as many drivers available as we can.

This means that there are less people to answer the phone immediately. Please leave us a message, with your name and phone number. We will call you back.

Thanks.

An update for clients of GCT. We are continuing to provide services to clients who request them. Social outings are suspended, at least until end March, likely April also.

Shopping is available, we will limit the size of groups to enable correct distance between clients.

Transport to the 7am shopping at Woolworths and Coles is available. Please book with the office. Other appointments are available as needed. We will continue to monitor advice regarding closure of services and maintenance of essential services.

We are also monitoring the establishment of priority delivery services for Woolworths and Coles and how we can help clients use them.

We will shortly begin calling all current active clients to check in that people are ok and see how we can help.

Please take care, take note of health advice.

The exciting new schedules are now available for the Penrith, Blue Mountains and Blacktown Areas.

With trips going to Kyeemagh Beach, Sydney Zoo, and the Mamma Mia Musical there will be something for everyone.

Call us on 4722 3083 to book your trips. Bookings are accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. Once places are filled, a waiting list is maintained. If you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible. We can then offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
